Zaino - it looks great, goes on and comes off easy and lasts LONGER than anything else. The new (improved) Z2 Pro polish and Z8 Grand Finale spray raise the bar even higher than before.

The initial cost may seem expensive, but just one ounce will do the RX-8 with product left over.

You need to put at least 5 layers on to really see the difference, but once you do, you'll never go back to waxes again.

I have heard nothing but good things about Zaino, but I have yet to try it. I have been using Meguiars NXT (Liquid + Spray versions -- haven't tried the paste) and also S100 Carnauba. The NXT lasts longer, but the S100 leaves that deep shine. I bought the NXT from local Walmart and I got the S100 from the local Harley Davidson Dealership/Store.

I know this is an old thread but I just tried the turtle wax Ice, it is a synthetic clear wax and it worked great.

Here are some pics of my 8 and my wife's Speed6 after I got done. You be the judge.

I haven't tried Zaino, I'm happy with Meguiars. I put my first coat on my black 8 today.

Wow you guys are missing something

Use Pinnacle Paintwork Cleanse to clean and polish. Then Pinnacle Souveran Wax!! Add a second coat 12 to 18 hours latter. AWESOME.... Now for the bad news waxes don't last as long as polymers (Zaino) so wax once a month. It is worth it!!

Zaino it today (up to 3 coats) and then add 3 more coats tomorrow and you won't have to worry about re-aplying for at LEAST 6 months if not longer. There is NO wax that can last that long. Dollar for dollar and amount of time spent, Zaino is clearly (emphasis on clearly) the best.

I swear by Maguires NXT...in fact, their products are the only ones I've EVER used on my Titanium Grey 8. The wash, NXT wax, Quick Detailer (between waxes), and Tire Gloss (in the spray can) all work great. I've had my 8 a year and the paint is in better shape NOW than it was the day I bought it.

6Speed8: Actually, if you wax properly there is no reason that any wax won't last 6 months. (assuming you garage it)

I figured out the other day that my car spends a max of 1 hour a day outside, in the sunlight (that includes the weekend when I wash it). I drive from my garage at home to the garage at work. That should help with the paint life, huh?

True, wax can 'last' 6 months, but wax yellows over time and the paint starts to look dull. Zaino does not 'yellow'. Don't take my word for it, Wax your car today and then take a photgraph once a week. After 4 or 5 weeks it will not look as good.

I have been detailing my own cars for 30+ years and nothing comes close to Zaino for EASE of application, DURABILITY, and most importantly SHINE.

To some people the INITAL price of Zaino seems expensive (roughly $100.00 Dollars US) But if applied right, the amount of polish will supply enough uses for years. Quite frankly it is a small amount compared to the price of the RX-8.

Other people get nervous about the INITIAL prep before applying Zaino. Thruth is, the same kind of prep needs to be done before any wax job as well.

I am not affilitaed with Zaino in any way and 6 years ago I was skeptical about it as well, but the facts shone through once i used it.

What do you guys think of Eagle One Nanowax? I put it on last week, first time using it. Seems to work just as well as Meguiars Gold, maybe a little better.

All of you Zaino guys should check out the Menzerna line. I was using Zaino before, then I moved on to this. Their Full Molecular Jacket is awesome stuff. It goes on super easy, is a full synthetic, and is incredibly slick after buffing. I've never seen anything like it before. Makes Zaino look like kiddy stuff.

I tried it out on my Monte Carlo. This is a 6 year old car. I'll be detailing the RX-8 in a couple weeks, will show you what the results are like.

I just tried the Turtlewax Platinum, not bad for wet look, shine and water beading. Its very easy to apply on and removed as well, only bad thing is its not a sealant.

Some experts (if you want to call them that) say to use both. Here is a small clip and the link.

Bob

Show Car Tricks
Detailers that prepare show cars will often layer a carnauba wax on top of a synthetic wax. The synthetic wax acts as a gloss layer, while the carnauba wax adds depth and a wet-looking appearance. One combination that works well is an initial coating of Klasse All-In-One followed by one or more coats of P21S.

Looks

There is nothing out there that can LOOK as good as a good carnuba wax finish. Carnuba's win BARELY! Duration synthetics win. But for a good carnuba to look good it must be prepped right. Pin. Souveran, P21s will give the best LOOKS.....

you are all wrong! The best wax on the market is something called "butterwax" it comes in a yellow can and is not available to the public...only to dealerships. If you know someone that works at one try to get some. It is thick sh>>>>>t.
