Best Products For Detailing

So i searched but there was not one thread that had all the products that you guys/gals use to detail your cars. Im trying to find the best products for each product. So i was wondering what brands you guys/gals use for each of the following. If there is anything else you guys/gals use can you post it.

Car Soap

Clay Bar

Wax (isnt a shine a shine, whats so special about zaino over NXT)

Tire Shine

Leather

Rim Cleaner

Interior cleaners

Thanks for the help in advance guys. And hopefully this thread will be helpful to others as well, and is not a repost. Cheers

Never Fear, Jedi is here!

Car Soap: Meguiars Gold Class

Clay Bar: Zaino or Mothers

Wax: ZAINO! Z5 for darker colors, Z2 to top it off

Tire Shine: Black Magic tire dressing

Leather: Zaino Cleaner and Zaino Leather Treatment

Rim Cleaner: lots of soap. for the OEM wheels I used Eagle1 wheel cleaner. On my new wheels, just lots of soap

Interior Cleaner: Meguiars NXT for all the plastic pieces (purple spray bottle) this stuff ROCKS.

Glass Cleaner: Invisible Glass.

What, you are challenging the Master?
Do you not like your life so far?

Actually there are threads on this subject matter, they are just really spread around.
Okay, I came back and edited this just for grins:

Car Soap = Well, right now since I had some laying around, it's Eagle One Nanowash, but as long as you use a decent quality car wash soap, you'll be okay.

Clay Bar = Meguiars

Wax = NXT Tech Wax

Tire Shine = Black Magic

Leather = Varies between Meguiars and Mazda

Rim Cleaner = Soap and water only, however I wipe my rims off just about every other day with a microfiber as I get home from work.

Interior Cleaner = Varies as long as it's not Armor-all, but I'm gonna take Jorge up on it and see about Meguiars NXT.

Glass Cleaner = (Stoners)Invisible Glass

And you didn't ask, but Outside Plastic = Back to Black(Meguiars), but carefully!

Sorry master. I will NOT question your zaino knowledge. Ye i found each individual thing but they were all over the place and not organized. So i thought why not start one with everything on it so it would be helpful for people. Thanks for the input keep em comin guys.

Mazurfer: you won't be disappointed with the Meguiars NXT for the interior. I spray a bit on an applicator pad and it works well. It doesn't dry right away but when it does, the shine is exceptional.

ARE-EX-8: I've seen xdeedubbx's car (who was a Meguiar's fanatic) and that stuff is very very good BUT my personal preference is still Zaino. The shine / feel is (IMO) that good. I also like that the've been expanding their product line.

Car Soap: Griot's Car Wash

Clay Bar: Formerly Mother's clay bar, soon to be Griot's clay =) They just introduced a glass clay too...

Wax: Formerly NXT2.0, soon to be Griot's Show Car Wax

Tire Shine: Meguiar's tire gel; when I run out, you guessed it, Griot's tire gel!

Leather: Lexol Cleaner and Conditioner

Rim Cleaner: I just use what's left in my car wash bucket after i'm done with the car... Why do you need a special cleaner for this? Don't trust the spray and pray ****...

Interior cleaners: water, stoner's invisible glass

I second this as well. I've used a lot of different off the shelf stuff and I like the NXT interior stuff the best. Ironically it's rather hard to find here in Phoenix!

Seems like black magic is very popular for tire shine eh. I just went to canadian tire and they had it but it was called "titanium" tire wet. Is that what you guys use?? Also about using the NXT for interior, does it give it a glossy finish. I dont want that, im looking for like a matte. As you do when you buy a new car.

I don't think it matters what tire gel you use, it's all pretty much the same. If you apply one coat and wipe it off, it will be a matte finish. If you apply a few coats and don't wipe, it'll be glossy. Either way, you have to let it soak in for about 15 mins before you drive, or it'll spray all over your car

I was thinking the same. Isnt tire shine just tire shine, and arent all waxes just waxes. But i heard that amor all ACTUALLY DAMAGES the car so thats what made me start this thread. Wanted to see what to use and what NOT to use.

yup, do not use armor-all...

all waxes are just waxes, but some are amazing in multiple respects while others suck. hahah... and some are actually wax while some are sealants.

I used to use that stuff but not anymore. I started hearing stuff about how it can mess up your interior etcc etc. But have you guys seen that show called unique autosport on the speed chanel. THey customize cars and **** (kinda like pimp my ride but not soo pimpy with all the colours). Well they use amor all products. So whats the deal with that, unique is quite a big franchise. They customize cars for celebraties and stuff and there using amor all... any comments about that

I don't like products that leave my interior/seats feeling greasy or sticky. Armor-all successfully does all of the above. F that **** I'm happy that my latest shipment of Griot's products came in... I wanted to wait a few more weeks for my NXT wax to wear off, but Sevenstock is in a few weeks and I want to put the new stuff on before the meet =)

I dont like the glossy finish either so i used Mequires Natural Shine. Its great for the interior, tires, and black plastic outside if you do not want that glossy look. I prefer just it looking brand new.

I'm pretty much total Griot's these days but have had good experiences with all Meguiar's products.

I would not challenge Jedi54 tho'.

Zaino sucks! haha j/k

I just got the clay, wax, and speed shine i ordered from Griot's. I don't know if the 15% off deal is still on, but I'd wait for those specials to place big purchases Gotta find some time to remove the NXT and detail before Sevenstock

Car Soap- Granitize Wash and Wax

Clay Bar- Granitize

Wax - Car Beauty Pro Miracle Wax

Tire Shine- Granitize T-11

Leather- Car Beauty Pro Heavy Duty Interior

Rim Cleaner- Car Beauty Pro Red Devil Degreaser

Interior cleaners- Car Beauty Pro Heavy Duty Interior

Worked in detail for four years at a franchise dealer during high school and used these products through the dealer. I had to find them, there is seriously nothing better that I have found. Very pricey though. Granitize you have to find a wholesale dealer. No ones heard of these i assume...
