adhesive on car

Hey everyone,

I have had my 8 for a couple of months now and I have noticed that there are lines of adhesive on the car and on the rubber trim that goes around the sunroof. It all appears to be from the coverings that they put on the car to protect it in shipping. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to use to get rid of this without hurting the clearcoat or the rubber. Thanks

I would try using a claybar on it, it should probably do the trick, if not, try a little bug and tar remover and use it very sparingly, or if you have any simple green that stuff takes anything off, but make sure you rewax any areas you spray with it because it strips wax.

rubbing alcohol,wd-40,bug and tar remover. If it doesn't come off by now, resort to the clay.

I have same problem but on the side windows, the adhesive label used to be on the car still leaves a mark. I tried tar remover, citrus clean, wax, polish but its still there.

Might try a little of Avon's Skin So Soft on a rag. Or there's a product called "Sticker Shock" that removes adhesives.
