I'm not finding any sources other than Mazda for solid rotors. I'm not interested in slotted or drilled. I believe solids are not only more durable, but do a much better job dissipating heat away from the fluid and pads. Not to mention they are typically much cheaper. I've searched RB, RP, Pettit, Autozone, AdvanceAuto, AutoBarn, AutoAnything...many more.

Hm. I thought they sold some solid rotors as well. After looking them up though they only had slotted or drilled.

check Frozenrotors.com They have some solid rotors.

Look for Centric blank rotors. That's what I use.

Brembo makes a nice OE-replacement rotor that is usually decently priced, you can get them through most any parts store

or run a couple of competition events (local autox, etc.) and join Mazda Motorsports, then you can buy OE parts near wholesale through them

EDIT: may be mistaken, not sure Brembo has an OE replacement for the RX-8

TireRack has closeout pricing on some cryo-treated solid rotors, $105 ea front and $95 ea. rear

http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/resul...ategory=Rotors

those Centric rotors at Zeckhausen are priced right though ...

Zeckhausen and thepartsbin look like reasonable alternatives. Thanks guys. If I find another alternative I'll pass it along.

Stock part replacements

rockauto.com? I've bought stock replacement parts from them and had good service. Prices seem as cheap as anywhere. Looks like they have Centric & Raybestos brand rotors for our cars.

I don't believe any of these companies (I'm certain Wilwood) has oem replacement discs. ST will by way of their parent company Centric but you can purchase them under that name from many suppliers.

Yup. As I stated in my followup post I was mistaken. Frozenrotors.com has them though.
