We lost an RX8 racer....

For those of you that may know Ken Hoppenrath, BS RX8 #146 in San Diego Region, he passed away on Monday. He was a long time road racer and after retiring from motorsports for some time he took up autocrossing with his 2006 RX8 in May. Services will be at the Alhiser-Comer Mortuary in Escondido at 10:00am on Tomorrow. For directions call 760-745-2162.

I had a chance to drive his car and give him some tips at our last event. He was a really nice guy and was very excited to be autocrossing. Very sad.

Unhappy

Only knew him a short time, but had fun talking and competing with him. Nice guy. I found some pics from Ken's first autox event in April...

wow, I just read this thread and began to realize who you were talking about. I was excited to see another 8 owner at the track. My condolences will not be heard by the family, but I know what they are going through and I feel for them.
