track day tires

Zoom Zoom....
Swoope,
My experience with Bridgestones is that you will have much better consistency if you heat-cycle them at least once before you use them in anger.
(I've also only used them shaved, so I can't comment on full tread).

i now have to many tires. the z1 star specs on my 18 inch wheels. btw, they are great on the track..
6 hoosier koni series race tires almost new..
and the bridgestones going on the wheels the race tires came off.
the heat cycle thing if a great hint.
is three sets of wheels, four and a half sets of tires to much? yes it is.. check out the for sale section soon!!!!!

FYI,
For those looking for a good deal on 17" r comps, tiredeals4less.com has 255/40-17 Toyo R888s on sale for $172.75 each. I ordered a set from them a couple of weeks ago.

Swoope I just used my RE01R's at the track this weekend. They were awesome in the rain, never really had any scary moments. Sadly didn't really get to see much of their dry capability as only my last 2 sessions were anywhere close to dry. I may use them for a session or two at Roebling in May to see the difference compared to the Nittos.
