Towing the RX8

[baghead disclaimer]OK, I DID do a search of this forum, with no success[/baghead disclaimer]

How do you guys tie down the RX8 on a trailer? The most obvious would be running straps through the open wheels, but I really don't like to tie a car down that way. Are there any factory shipping tie down points or other really clean ways to tie the car down?

Thanks.

If I recall there are tie down holes in the front grill and lower rear bumper. Their covered by square plugs. The eye bolts for them should be located under the liner in your trunk.

In the rockers there are four holes covered with rubber plugs, pull them out and use the T hook style tie down.

Never tie your car down with the factory bumper screw in deals, those are not built to tie the car down with.

I just clip my tie downs into the slots in the K member in the front and a one of the 5 link mounts in the rear.

The T hooks are the best way to go if you have them.

Thanks. I guess I'll just have to get the car on a lift and see what's what...Jason, when you say "clip in", do you mean you just use the hook on the strap to gain a hold on the cross member or rear links?
