No Hoosier stickers at Tech at SGMP. The SPS trailer had them though.

Thanks.
I have the decals taken care of...now, if I could only control the weather

40% chance of rain means 60% chance no rain, right? Who wouldn't take those odds?

edit: I just looked at the weather, still 40% chance, but forecasted for early Sunday morning through mid-morning...BS runs first group...possibly on drying course...its like deja vu, all over again. Sounds pretty much identical to last year. btw, how did BS get jammed in to RG1 two years in a row? ULLLLLLLLLOSE, did you **** someone off?

Seems like many events have nearly the same order every year.

1st run group?...Co-drivers and bags. Co-drivers and bags..
It does seem like BS gets the first group more often than not.

I seem to recall running heat one three years in a row in AS at the Bremerton tour. It happens, all you can do is deal with it. The one good thing about running early in SD is less OPR - which is always really bad at that site for some reason.

From preliminary results, it looks like Bryan Heitkotter has a 1+ second lead over the rest of the class.

Seems to be big spread in times - 3.5 seconds from 1st back to last place.

He did it on day 2 as well, putting 9 more tenths on the field.

No rain Saturday. Today the sprinkles started just as the 2nd drivers in BS were taking their final runs.

Thanks to Jason for letting me warm his tires, and also to Brian Coulson for letting me take a few practice runs on Friday. It was tougher than I thought to jump back into BS.

WOW was Bryan fast. He drove awesome. I would love to make some excuses, but even at 100% I would have had nothing for him, he owned this event. We ran in the same heat with SS ad he put most of them away, including Braun.

Anyone hear from TRX8? He was MIA on Sun.

Wow - I guess it was Bryan's weekend. Isley, was there any discussion at the event about whether a driver of note on the West Coast is prepping a 370Z for the class?

Btw, big congrats to a former RX-8 guy, Elliot Speidell, who took the win in DSP.

It started raining right in the middle of my second run on Sunday. Freaked me out.

Where did you go on Sunday?

I also heard nothing about a 370Z coming out in BS...but, it would appear likely that someone will give it a try.

Congrats to Bryan. He just nailed it and was in another universe relative to the rest of BS this weekend. I can't say I'm surprised, like I've been telling people, I see him and Zach in the RX8 at local events and know what they are capable of...

I had kind of an interesting experience on Sunday. What happened was, because we knew it was likely to rain and I only had my A6's and the oem BFG KDWS tires to choose from, ULLLLLLLLLLLLOSE brought down a set of Hoosier Wets that he had bought a few years ago. Well, as it ends up, those tires were made in 2004, had a bunch of heat cycles in them (including street use in the dry) and not much tread depth...not knowing for sure how well they would work, we mounted them up on my street wheels, thinking they'd be better than the A6's, since it was coming down hard. Incorrect ASSumption, they were beyond horrible. After two runs of complete and utter pain, I threw the A6's on (even though it was still puddles) and picked up 5.5 seconds...

Even though the wets didn't end up working out, I really want to thank ULLLLLLOSE for loading them up, dragging them down to SD and letting me use them.

Thanks for testing those for me, glad I did not end up needing them. I guess its back to street duty for the wets.

I know the owner. I'm not sure if her car prep will go beyond wheels & tires this season. She's actually considering driving my RX-8 @ Nats this year along with my other BSL co-driver.

Ha ha. 37K is the price of entry, don't forget to ask for another 5K for the tire budget!

Bryan/Zach were on 285 hohos. Ron/Joe ran the new 255 and seemed to have concerns.
