T3 pole position for RX-8 and e production for RX-7

RX-8 = which names and/or numbers?

 

Lap 5, Gilhart and Shelton in RX8s up about 6 sec on 3rd place Lipperini in the MazdaSpeed Miata.

 

15,55,81,7,84 - RX-8s
81 - MX-5
33,92 - Cobalt

 

In the top ten RX8s are # 55, 15, 8, 7, 84, 02 and 12.

 

It's almost like being there with you guys commetary!

 

Something happen to the leader....Gilhart falling back.

Guess it was just a timing issue he is back in front.

 

Lap 9 half way and Gilhart out front the Miata still in 3rd 8.5 back...

 

Looks like the Cobalt in 4th is holding some folks up

 

84 got around him. See if he can close on the MX-5

 

Loooks like 84 lost some ground on the leader

 

Top 3 unchanged.... Looks like an RX8 will take it could be an all Mazda top 3.

 

The turbo miata can not keep pace with the top two RX8s.

 

Top 2, both RX-8s are checkin out from everyone

 

Gilhart looking good, 2 to go with a 2 sec lead.

 

1 lap to go top 3 still the same.

 

Holloway makes it top 4 Mazda's.

 

Checkered flag for No. 55 Gilhart, who wins by 0.940-second, over No. 15 Shelton. No. 81 Lipperini, No. 84 D. Holloway and No. 33 Aquilante complete the top five, respectively.

RX8 1st, 2nd and 4th with the Miata in 3rd.

 

Shelton set quick lap of the race.

 

Quite a last lap by Shelton running his best lap on hot tire. Cut the gap in half but not enough.
