RX-8 at LeMans?

RX-8 at LeMans?
I just had a thought. We all know about the rumor that ProDrive is preparing a car for Mazda for the LeMans series, but nobody knows what it will be? Piston powered? Not likely but possible. Rotary, 4th gen RX-7 based? Not if they plan on racing in the next year or two since the FE will not be out until 2006 or 2007. What class will it be? GT? GTS? Prototype?
Well, maybe, just maybe this is a hint. From another tread on the RX-8 forum about Gran Turismo 4, the demo version that many of the game mags have been playing with has a RX-8 LM special edition. LM meaning LeMans.
Could Mazda have let the cat out of the bag with the GT4 crew with some knowledge that the public release of the game will be about the same time or later than the release of the actual Mazda RX-8 LeMans racer?
What are your thoughts?

nah, i think that was just a silly Gran Turismo thing in the "Geneva" release...
if Mazda's going back to Le Mans without an RX-7 already out, it would have to be with a prototype car... i mean, if you're gonna win, that's what you gotta do it in...
i can't wait to see... :D

maybe the language barrier has got you stumped on this one.. I am reffering to the V.I.N. (Vehicle Identification Number) designation of the "possible" RX-7 as being FF, opposed to the current RX-8 designation of FE.
By reading the original post, and my quoted post what we are talking about should be obvious.

As oppose to FR (Front engine Rear wheel drive) and MR (mid mount engine rear wheel drive) as we know all RXs have been FRs.... then FF RX7 is pretty funny
