Anybody here attending this event? $40 for two day passes, kids under 12 are free. It will be my 4 year old's first motorsports event...can't wait!

 

I will be there with my 21 year old boy.
We had a great time there a couple of years ago.

 

im going i think ima get the 3 day pass this will be my 1st time at this event

 

I'm doing to the two day (Sat-Sun) pass. This will be my first race at NJMP as well. Should be a blast!

 

damn, wont be bale to make it this year, Will have to catch up at another venue

tcole6- We're on vacation all next week and are heading to Wildwood Wed. Found a nice condo on VRBO. Thought the motels were high priced for this early in May. Haven't been to South Jersey in 16 years . That's crazy, as my dad was born and raised in Atlantic City, went to Holy Spirit HS. Our family had a camper outside Sea Isle City from '78 to '86. Partied every weekend on Pacific Ave in Wildwood. It looks like they are trying to get more cars in the Spring Show, opening it up to sports cars, tuners, trucks,ect. The fall show is only for Muscle Cars and Street Rods. We're in just for fun, as our 8 is not a garage queen. Heck, this car's to much fun NOT to drive it. Stop and say hello if you see us. '06 Velocity Red w/ some tasteful mods. PA plate- RXOTIC 8 We'll also be at the Carlisle Import and Kit show the weekend after.

 

Some friends and I may take a road trip there in the 8. Probably only for saturday though, since that's the main race. NJMP is only 2 hours from me, so its do-able.

Last Grand am race I was at was at VIR last year. I love my 8, but after 9 hours in it everything starts to get dreary. Though for being 6'3" I was more comfy in the back seats than the front. Gotta love wankle powered road trips. Course my wallet said otherwise.

 

Habs24_7 will look for you. I will be the sadly 100% stock LY car there (unless my Tein basics make it in before then and I can get an appointment with JPR...).

Might try to make the car show as well. I'm only 75 minutes from there.

Yeah prices "down the shore" are going back up. Just two years ago you could get a steal if you were willing to wait until the last minute. This year if you wait, everything is gone.

 

Your wife is letting you race on Mothers' Day? She must be some sort of a saint.

Well Patrick Dempsey is racing and I told her she would get to see him. I am going to try my hardest to get her an opportunity to meet him and then that would be her best mothers day ever! One of the reasons she let me race an RX8 is because he did... yup I played every card I could to convince her to let me spent a **** ton of money on this! lots of kissing up to her as well

Last year we went to the sox game and she loved it, so ya I guess I am pretty lucky!

I already have season Grand-Am tickets that I won, though I wouldn't turn down a crew chance either. I was the fire-bottle guy for Speedsource #69 for Lime Rock in 2011, and loved it

If anyone else is trying to help, I can pass in favor of them. No need to waste the free ticket part on me

 

I think i might be able to come down on saturday. I went last year but was 2 weeks before i bought my rx8.

Can one of you guys tell me how i get into the mazda corral? Do i have to pay extra? gimme the low down lol.

EDIT: my sprint springs are coming in the mail on the 7th, so expect a super low 40th with mega sunken in wheels because im out of money to buy spacers

 

I'd like to know as well. My first non-NASCAR race would love to find the Mazda Corral.

 

I know they have one, just dont know what is required of me to get in there. Last year it was uber hot outside. brought like 20 gatorades and went through them all.

make sure to wear sunscreen and maybe bring a chair, leaning on the fence for hours isnt fun.

EDIT: can we even fit a beach chair in our car? lol

Looks like it is a cool package with free go karts included! I attened the LRP corall last year since I wasn't racing and had an opportunity to meet a lot of great people.

I will be there in my RX-8 only three hours from No. VA
I did not like not having the 8 at Mid-Ohio last year.
