Over the last few years racing the Corvette in A Stock all of my friends kept calling me the BS champ. So thats what they meant.

I hear he might have some multi time AS natl champ on the hook..... No worries... Only some PCA person would pay what he is asking. We know if one of them gets it we will never see it again.

Just to help back up my theory that Mark is just a bitter little man that likes to talk out his @ss here is some data from the 2005 SCCA solo2 Natls.

You have three types of Natl champ, those that were fastest for two days, those that were fastest for one day and those that were not fastest either day.

Two day fastest:
ES

One day fastest:
AS, FS, HS

Not fastest any day:
SS, BS, CS, DS, GS

I guess the way Mark looks at things we need to recall more than half the stock class winners.

He better not live in CT. On second thought... he'd make things much more competitive locally, and I'd actually welcome that.

I'm in favor of Steve keeping the 968. That way we know it will never be a threat...

ouch ... sorry to see it go Steve.

Jason, you just don't get it, I'm not for recalling anything. I just happen to remember back in 1996 when Bob Tunnell won B Stock, for the interview in Sportscar he basically said he wasn't fastest either day, just lucky that the people who were had problems on the other days, but a win is a win. That always stuck with me. He didn't go brand "B Stock Class Champion" on his forehead. The winner is the winner, nobody can take that away. The point is that's what makes him a Champion, as opposed to just being a class winner.

C'mon man, you only just got some wheels and tires, and frankly those tires don't compare to what we run on ...
The wheel and tire setup that I purchased was a quick way to get my car in for some events without forking out $4000 for the setup that I would/will get. And I havn't done any "real" testing on the car because I just bought it. Maybe I shouldn't include my uneducated comments until I am 100% sure that I am right. As of now, I have only semi-setup a miata. The cars have a few similarities and a LOT of differences. I guess camber setup is one to chalk up to differences.

I think it is getting harder to see your point with every post. I never tried to call myself a Bob Tunnell or anyone at that level. I never took credit for quick time either day. My point is people should watch any setup advice they get from the class also-ran that only knows how to type fast. You tell people they have it all wrong and only give them a half truth. You tell them dont run that shock setting because I dont, but you dont tell them you have revalved shocks instead of stock ones like them. Do you think it is funny to lie to new guys and trash them with every question? Dude you are a joke.

Its both.... Steve went out to the big events, took his beating and learned from it, no doubt he was faster by the end of the season. While Mike hung out in the woods and spent all year trying to figure out which car in his collection to drive.
