Question for BStock autocrossers
Is anyone running BS with wheels other then the factory alloys? If so what are you running and what was the cost/weight. I am curious what all is availiable and how much of a bankbreaker they are.
Thanks a bunch!

That's around five pounds (!) heavier than the stock wheels. I don't know how much stock wheels are from Mazda Motorsports, but they might be worth looking into for those whose budgets don't allow SSRs or NoCones' Enkeis.

I double-check. I got the Mille Miglia HT3, weights 26.5 pounds (yikes!) but it only costs 229 a wheel. I think I got it on special for less than that. I guess on the plus side it looks pretty cool, but I sure would like some SSRs. I probably would have been better off trying to get a set of OEM's second-hand.
The SSR GT2's are 16.8 lbs and $389 at tirerack.

just get a set of used OE wheels, you really have to be an upper caliber driver to take advantage of the weight difference, in theory a lot of things are faster, in reality they are as only as fast as the driver
You won't get new OE wheels all that cheaply through the Mazdaspeed Motorsports program, I can't get a price to come up but would venture they would probably be in the high $300/each range based off the full retail stealer price
there's two different set of Mazdaspeed wheels; magnesium and aluminum. The magnesium are the lightest but also extremely expensive ($1200+/ea), the aluminum version is approx. the same weight/cost as the SSR Comp wheels
