I have a camber challenged car, but that might be due to a tall set of stock springs. I am hoping for greater (less?) than -2 degrees camber.

I will make a list of pictures to take during the installation process.

I am pretty sure I didn't back out, so maybe it was altiain.

Can you post pictures of the springs or at least describe their geometry? I'm very interested in how they got around the shock body length issue.

I believe it is possible something is screwed up with my installation. I will document the new install as much as possible so that you can let me know what I did wrong.

Have the prototypes shipped? Just received some 17x9 5zigen wheels and have a set of 255/40/17 star specs ready to roll waiting for the springs.

It has been corrected, we also have correct our pricing on the street springs which are now only $175.

We have a large stock order coming in from Progress Technology so they will be ready to ship first thing next week. (Street Springs)

It seems like my life became unbelievably busy as soon as those springs showed up at the door. One week earlier and they would have been on the car. I didn't have time to get the springs on the car for the past weekend, but I did get some times with the new tire setup, and the 255/17 Dunlops on 5zigen 17x9 wheels reduced my time about 1.5 seconds on an 80-second course. My best lap was within 7 tenths of the local STX hotshoe (he should challenge for a trophy at Nats this year). The difference in acceleration with the shorter tire is pretty amazing.

I have some maxQdata I will post comparing the best pre-wheel and post-wheel change with the post-spring data to follow in a couple weeks (praying that there will be no rain).

Installation of the springs will probably have to wait until this weekend, and there will be pictures.

Brent

Well, I have the installation 75% done. I didn't get the left rear done yet, so no impressions that are really valid. Iwill hopefully get that done tomorrow. The ride does not seem to be too bad, but again, the validity of that statement is questionable. It is not sitting as low as I expected, but it might take a little driving to get it to "settle" down.

There are some pictures in my album:
https://www.rx8club.com/forum/album.php?albumid=1455

I had more pictures, but need to format them to work better with the album.

Hopefully, it will be dry next Saturday, and I will have some comparison information. The 17x9 wheels and 255's made a big difference alone.

I went ahead and attached my fastest two lap performance and the local STX hotshoe's fastest one lap performance at the local track. His car is a fairly complete prepped WRX. My car at the time was a B-stock prep (mild at that) with the 17x9 and 255's.

I installed the final spring today. I will take measurements of ride height and get alignment changes recorded soon. Wanted to let the springs settle first. It definitely is not a low rider.

The ride quality is very acceptable to me. There is some harshness over larger bumps and expansion joints. The rearend hopped on one occasion with a shallow hole, which I have never had happen. I have not adjusted the shocks at all, and they are set stiffly. Making adjustments to stiffness in the shocks will improve ride considerably.

Seat of the pants changes in handling are noticeable. The reactions in transitions are clearly sharper. The car feels more neutral in the brief time I drove it, but I really didn't push it. I am excited to get some times with it.

What would be the total drop with the street springs plus tokico Ds? As it is the mazdaspeed kit at stock height gives about 5" of clearance at the lip...

Tokico's arent supposed to really drop your car. So they should lower your car as much as they say they do. 1.2 in the front..

Thanks for the update.

I'm really looking for a ride quality comparison between shocks soft & shocks hard, as well as performance driving on both settings.

I have two really rough lots I compete on, and I'm hoping for decent ride quality for weekdays.
