I can do Db testing with my Radioshack sound meter though.

Loud..but makes the car sound WAY meaner.
Street use on this car sometimes so we had him put the bullet in.
Takes some of the raspyness out of it.

Mike, what kind of muffler is that? Burns Stainless painted black? And what happened to Shelbi getting a straight pipe?

Our custom quad-exit exhaust is almost finished. Yeah, it's 52lb heavier than stock and loses power but it looks TIGHT.

You know.. joking or not, that's exactly how clubs lose sites....because someone cruises past sound meters, but break the limits elsewhere on the course. Many sites are now imposing sound restrictions on their sites.
If you *know* you're going to be too loud for a site that has sound restrictions, stay home... that region doesn't need you there ruining it for them just so *you* can have some fun for a few minutes.
You want to keep this sport alive in places that you visit? Meet the rules of the region. They're there so others can continue doing what they enjoy.
The best place up here for auto-x (Devens, Ma) has a sound restriction. 1st time you break it, you're told to fix it. If it's not fixed on 2nd run, you get sent home. Not fixed 1st time out next event? You're sent home. And this continues.

Really, after driving it just once it does sound ALOT better (less raspy) than the Celi straight pipe (even with the cherry bomb on the end).
Crusing on the freeway I could not even tell a difference.

fwiw Mike, 0.00x difference is likely more of a driving situation than 20#

while we are on the subject.
Any idea how much a sport + appearance package model weighs? And how much weight could be lost by removing appearance package.
Kinda a moot point, since the driver is a fatty and is about 75 lbs overweight...

yeah mines 1/2 the weight of Mike's and probably quieter too :p but it probably cost 3x as much

Talk about to loud. Barbara's car has a system like mine but uses a shorter Borla, 12" instead of 16", she got a tickect yesterday for being to loud. I drove it a few times at our natls warm up yesterday, had to try out those 28 series Konis , it is painfully loud in the car even with a helmet on.

A few pounds of weight in a street car isn't going to affect the way your car drives or performs. On a race car however where they are trying to get any little advantage they can, 20# is definitely something to address.
