Must say I'm totally diggin' Thomas' old gold ultraleggeras - really work well with the galaxy gray color (and I'm sure they'd also look sweet on a titanium gray)!

Magical P1s! I think everybody elses were about 19.0-19.2. Let's see some pictures of the finish!

No really good pictures of the car with the new P1s, but this was taken a couple of weekends ago.

try reading the thread, the discussion was Stock class camber: https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...&postcount=101

I never run or recommend rear toe-out in an RX-8

I did read the thread and I knew what you were referencing. Doesn't matter, really. :)

Does anyone know whether the Nissan Altima SE-R rims will fit the RX8? Right size, bolt circle, and offset, not sure about the center bore. I have read weight is in the 18 pound range. Can catch them cheap used at times. Would be a good set for rains maybe.

Nissan center bore is 66.1 I think VS 67.1 for the RX-8, should be able to fix that with some sandpaper.

Cito 03-31-2008 01:29 PM

Thanks. If I find out the weight for certain, I will list it. They are a nice rim. Forged and everything. There is a set on ebay right now with decent tires for 800 bucks.

We put a set on this summer without doing any mods other then a spacer in the rear, the fronts didn't seem to have a problem to sit flat. definitely a sandpaper mod to make it work.

They did mark up the center bore on the wheels a little. The fronts definitely sat better than the rears thou. With a little adjustment, they should fit pretty good. They look real nice on the car too, IMO.

TSW Trackstar 5, 19lbs 5oz (without center cap or valve) on a postage scale.

18"X8" +50mm 76 hub (includes ring for 67.1 hub)

Looks like a set is around $850.

mwood 10-13-2008 08:29 PM

The TSW kinda looks like a cheaper, heavier OZ Ultraleggera, huh?

Is there a TR Motorsports/Enkei app for the RX8, yet? I really like the set I got for the Mustang...18X8.5's are a shade over 18# for $1200/set, so I'd guess a 18X8 could possibly be under 18# for OZ type money...they look nice, too.

Hey Mike -

No current plans for a stock class legal, TRM MT1.

18x8.5, 48et is available, 18.5 lbs and we have 18x9.5, 45et, 19 lbs for a track/aggressive street application.

The news from OZ is a new model, the Alleggerita. It will be available 1st quarter 09' and is expected to weight 10-15% less than the current Ultraleggera.

I have a 17"X 7" production wheel (Cooper Application) near my desk that weighs 13.8 lbs which is 2.2 lbs lighter than the same size Ultraleggera.

Chris,

Any guesses on pricing at this point? Those look fantastic.

Zoom4Three 10-14-2008 01:44 PM

Current estimate is $375 ea for the 18"x8". This may adjust slightly by the time we actually receive inventory in early 09'.

hopefully down since aluminum pricing droppped 30% in the last week or two, the so-called economic crisis has some positives too ...

tpdrx8 10-15-2008 07:48 PM

The hyper black actually looks a little 'brighter' in the right light.

Yeah, all commodity prices have come down a bunch in the last few weeks, but all finished goods tend to adhere to the rocket/feather pricing model...when commodity prices go up, finished goods go up like a rocket...when they fall, prices come down like a falling feather...:icon_no2:

...I mean, oil has come down nearly 50% in the last two months...and we are still looking at $3.50 at the pump, here in Kalifornia.:Eyecrazy:

TeamRX8 10-15-2008 08:11 PM

the feather will drop a lot faster now that people who were living beyond their means on credit won't be around to sit underneath and blow upward ....
