New blood in BS......

Just got the word that James Gunn Wilkenson, 05' ASP champ, bought the Hui/Kozlak 968 Porsche for BS.

We will see how he does this weekend.

Interesting...James is certainly a Porsche die hard...of course, since it is the best BS car in the country, he should dominate the class, no problem...

Just beautiful... as if the local BS competition wasn't tough enough already.

You guys run any two day events, down there? I'd like to come find out how far off the pace I am, but it's hard to drive 6 hours, each direction, for a single day of autocross....

We never have 2 competition days back-to-back, but we often have a Sat practice and Sun champ event.

It looks like there will actually be a San Diego event on 12/9 and then a CalClub event on 12/10 if you wanted to come down. We normally run both regions. I will probably skip one, but Isley might be doing both.

James didn't buy any of the go-fast parts along with the car, so depending on who you believe, he'll either be a lot faster or a lot slower than we were.

The 968 goes down.... I only wish he would show up all year on 2 season old 245s front and rear. I am sure after he corner weights and gets a setup he likes, plus fresh tires he will be right on pace.

I don't see it winning myself, but I still say it should be bounced from BS due to it's limited availability and age. It's really no different than the BMW E30 M3, and they imported twice as many M3s ....

Well JGW put the Motons back on the 968 along with a fresh set of V710s and was much faster today. The RX8 is still the top dog in Socal as I beat him down by .050. Going to be a fun year out on the west coast.

If they have less than 50 runs on them and were stored in your garage? No, I don't consider those particularly old

Of course, if they have like 90 + runs and are two years old?
