Never Drift with with the DSC on!

Wow! That was wild yesterday me and some friends went to a big deserted parking lot after some rain, and decided to have a little fun. There were three big lamp posts with big concrete bases they formed a 180 degree angle. I deided to go (can't spill but I'm trying to say) Slouom on them. Went between the first two and drifted around the second to line with the thrid went for the thrid and cut it close, like two feet to the base, and took a really long drift, when all of the sudden "POP". What I didn't realize at the time was my DSC was kicking in and locking my back tires. But anyway I pulled out of it, checked the car and went bach again and "POP" just like before it sounded horrible so we gave up after a couple of drifts, donuts, and burn-outs. I was afraid I was goiing to destroy my rear but, latter it hit me it was the DSC kicking in. Got to go but I'll finish the post later.

umm..yeh dude..you have to do the 5 sec push and you're golden...and watch out for those lamp posts...if you've never drifted before in the 8, even though this car does it wonderfully and is a breeze to control, you should attempt it in a wide open parking lot without lampposts...i'd hate to see a thread later on that reads: Never Drift in a parking lot with Lamp Posts..and then have pictures of your ride destroyed....

anyway..have a blast..

In response to Maniac: I forgot to mention that the pavement was dry it had just rained. We were so post to got to the track but it was raining there and they closed it but it was dry at home. But when that DSC cuts on and takes control it's a ride the wheels hop like two or three times and that's an experience. Anyway it waas a no-brainer mistake to forget to cut off the DSC. Anyway it didn't sound good at the time and it probally wouldn't score major points at an event.

the first 8 i took on a test drive had the dsc turned on. i came right back to the dealership with a very conserned look on my face. the gm asked me what was wrong and i told him "i couldnt get the rear to brake loose....even in a turn!!!!" he started laughing and walked over to the car to push the dsc button. then he threw the keys back at me and said "its got more than a half a tank....have fun":D but im poor, so mine didnt even come with dsc....witch is good because id never use it anyway keep sliden man and stay away from everything.......for now
