The single best way, proven again and again, to get the car off the line is to use the pedal on the right.

If you use the middle (or left if you only have 2), you won't get it very far, if you move it at all.

If you want to BEAT people off the line, what you need is torque, and that isn't an available modification for our car unless you have around $10,000 to spend. In order to obtain this torque, you will have to trade your 8 in for a different car that already has it, or can get it easily.

My experience so far has been exactly like you SS, except my car rocks forward and is really fast. Maybe you have bad brakes?

I put mine in Race Mode to be fast.

If auto, hold your left foot on the brake and put the shifter to R (race) Push on the gas hard with your right foot. Let off of the brake and push the gas to the floor.

If manual, hold in the clutch with your left foot, and the brake with the toe/ball of your right foot. Put the shifter in R (race). Push the gas all the way with the heal of your right foot. Let off of everything but gas at the same time. Push the gas to the floor.

It will make you faster. You just need to practice.

When you practice, back up close to a wall so you don't roll backwards while perfecting your launch.

You do disable the DSC when trying to launch ? Try sliding the clutch instead of dumping it .

Hopefully you will lose it soon enough. There are enough idiots on the road without some dumbass kid who barely knows how to drive trying to race on the street with his month old license.

Can you even comprehend how stupid and foolish you look for doing this, let alone posting it up on a public forum? This is in addition to spelling your username incorrectly.

dang dude chill. im a good driver, ive raced my car around a track several times and all, i know how to handle my car im not one of those idiot dumbasses on the road.
check yourself before you start calling me out, guarantee youve raced so stop judging me. and i dont understand how foolish and dumb i look for doing this, its a public car forum where you talk about things like this and its under the "Racing" thread so it obviously fits here.
and have you ever considered thats its my username? i can make it whatever i want, theres obviously a reason why i dont have the 'C' in my name.
so chill out and lets all get along. where all here for one reason, we drive an 8 or love 8's.

Since you haven't been here that long, I'll cut you a little slack - you may have missed the purpose of this 'Race' forum, it's for serious, sanctioned REAL track racing, as opposed to 'trying to beat my brother's Smart from a light'.

These racers take no prisoners, and are not overly friendly to street racing noobs......

I don't often post in here, it's too hardcore for me, but I wish you well.

irresponsible street racing threads are specifically not allowed here, this is an off-road racing forum for events organized with safety to both the competitor and any bystanders as the top priority

if it's an acceptable topic then why don't you go explain the situation to your parents and ask them for their advice?

Let me show you why I don't like street racers...

A G35 took off from a light turning left with me beside him, lost control and ran into me...

If he had had real racing experience, that would not have happened..

That was 3 years ago... This is my car now

OP: You are getting flamed for many, many reasons. Just a couple

1. Posting about street racing is against forum rules.
2. You're trying to act tough and calling out seasoned members who have been more than helpful for a number of years.
3. After acting tough and failing, you're hiding behind your age. That's just making it worse.
4. No 16 year old kid is a "good" driver. You just haven't wrecked...yet.
