I saw this the first time i went out to tracks, it let me know that this is a real sport, and real accidents do happen if u don't be carefull. guess what car this used to be? the driver is ok buy the way, got away with little stratches and bruses if u can believe that.

WOW, that is pretty crappy. There was a guy at Road America who wrecked his GranSport Corvette, talk about shitty. Then he had to drive it home!

The elise driver and instructor were mostly OK, maybe a broken foot and some deep bone bruises in the legs.

elise wrecked coming out of the carousel. He either had a wheel or two off or thought he was going off and jerked the wheel, induced a spin and hit the inside wall twice. The second time he hit the wall, he was 3 feet off the ground.

I heard he was doing 120 mph when started to go off.

I was only doing about 90 mph at the same point on the track.

Is the off track conditions that bad? You can always go off road two or four wheels, and then come back. A jerk of the wheel to prevent going off track. I sure don't want to do that.

At my first high performance driving school, the first thing they emphasized is that, if you drop a couple of wheels off track, just go with it, and drive the rest of the way off the track, coming to a controlled stop, rather than turning the wheel trying to get right back on the track. Now I really see why....

Feel sorry for the driver, but the EVO looks better with the more rounded roof line... :D

off track is not that bad. Driver just messed up. Should have driven off. It was stressed throughout the weekend. That guy was an experienced driver and should have know better.

Well if there are any other first-timers that are still unsure of whether or not they want to do a track event, let me try to convince you to go out and do it! You cannot get an automotive experience anything like it anywhere else. You will learn so much if you have a good instructor with you.

Definitely an awesome experience. I had an awesome instructor, he had 25-30 years of experience. I'm hooked and have already planned 4 more days of instruction for the rest of the year. I'd do more if my wife would let me :o .

But you've already spent a lot more than me on mods :p .

My philosophy is mod the driver first, then the car.

Just wait for teh Falkens! I think I might even keep the stockers for my track wheels. I just like playing with stuff, but I think most of the stuff that I have done is more for longevity and safety than performance.
