MAZDASPEED Motorsports reducing racer support.
This is confirmed. MAZDASPEED Motorsports will no longer allow autocrossers to buy body panels or interior trim pieces. Road racers may no longer
This is in the new "Mazdaspeed Motorsports Site Usage Agreement" everyone must agree to if they want to be or continue to be a member.
I'm guessing the dealers got their panties in a wad over autocrossers getting things that shouldn't normally need replacement from autocrossing. This wouldn't be so bad if Mazda dealers didn't suck so bad. I think this needs a thread of it's own. I'm still very happy to get even this reduced level of support from Mazda, but the cost of maintaining my Rotary Rockets just went up.

In reality there are instances in autocrossing when certain OE body parts may become damaged from cone damage, hitting a timing light container, etc. I would at least call and ask to speak with Steve Sanders about it a d explain the situation. Best case they may allow it pending some photos of the damage etc. I suspect this is more a result of unscrupulous individuals taking advantage of this generous Mazda program by running an autocross or two locally then using body parts etc for business or non- member purposes.

They have done this in the past as well... Back in 96' we were doing a Solo 1 with our Miata and had an off-course. We were registered as "Solo" drivers so they were not going to sell me the parts to fix it. I explained that it was at a track event and they put the order in.
