Other than the two recalls, console was done during the last one, it has never been in for anything. So I don't bug them they don't bug me. I also would not take it any for any "racing" related failures if I ever have one.

Had the Borla and Konis on both times it went in.
You need the plastic one that goes over the end of the filter.

I keep the Tire Rack banner on because it's a pia to keep putting them on...of course, on the RX8 it does annoy me, so maybe I'll just get rid of it.
Mark, you've never changed the filter? How many miles? With the RX8's combustion process, I'd think you'd want to change them more often, rather than less...

I have also never had a problem with any of the parts sold by Mazda Comp. Some parts such as body work are considered blems and can not be put on a new production car. We bought a rear Miata bumper from them that was a blem, neither I or the body guy that painted it could find a problem with it.
