the rx-8 posted the fastes lap time, the problem with the car its not hp its the rules, but next year they are moving to GT class with 3 rotor engines

SpeedSource already has a 3 rotor RX8 competing in the Rolex Series as a GT car. I don't think the white 70 3 rotor car would be eligible to compete in Grand Am even in GT. I'll check the rulebook when I get a chance.
Maybe Sylvain and the guys are going to run more of the Rolex series with the 3 rotor car(s) next season?? The car appears to be very fast and able to run with the best of the class. (having drivers like Tremblay and Hamm doesn't hurt the cause either)

Just an FYI, the BK Motorsports Courage/Mazda running in the American Le Mans Series uses a 3 rotor. I got to see it in Houston this year and it was the best-sounding car by far. (Close second were the 7 liter Vettes)
At any rate, they're racing this Saturday (the 30th) in the Petit Le Mans in Atlanta. Pretty much the entire race will be on Speed Channel.
Not the fastest car by any stretch, but by far the coolest-sounding!
