which lugnuts?

I'm worried about breaking a stud at an event using the lousy stock lugs. Anyone have any recommendation for aftermarket lugs that can stand up to weekly wheel changes? I know McGard and Gorilla are popular--anyone know the appropriate model numbers, or can anyone recommend another brand? I run OEM wheels daily, and OZs at events, if it makes a difference.

Btw, TireRack sent me some lugs with the OZs, but I never tried them out. Anyone have any clue as to what those things are, or if they're any good?

we've been there and done that before too ...

sigh ... my "personal" choice, but it does require a 17mm socket as opposed to the OE 21mm nut so your factory lug wrench is SOL without a 17mm socket with a 21mm hex head adaptor as a go between, this is what Tirerack sends for SSR wheels in an RX-8 application.

Any hints? I tried a title search for "lugnut or lugnuts or lug or lugs" in this section, but didn't come up with anything useful.

I'm sure the info is out there, but it's either not in in this section, or it's not in an obviously named thread. Creating a thread with a good name in the correct section is only going to help future searches, even if this thread only points back to an earlier thread. My .02.

use * as a wild card ---> "lug*"

this will cover anything that may be relative; lugs, lug nuts, lugnuts, etc.

yes, you have to read through some threads along the way, but you just might learn a few things by doing so ... a wealth of knowledge exists here
