So what are you going to run after you cord your Hoosiers in Packwood?

Are you being silly and trying the 285s?

I don't know how "silly" the 285's are...they were fast enough at the SD Tour for a mid pack driver to beat the National Champ on Sunday

BTW, that set of tires is now sold, as is the older set of Kumhos I've been running on locally, so the 50 run set is the only set of tires I have left to sell

Haha, okay. =)

How many of you kids are gonna be out for the Packwood NT?

Edit: Looks like, from the SCCA list, that Isley's not coming, like he said he probably wouldn't. So, Goeke and Wood are the major BS contenders, I guess?

Goal this year: Do as well on both days as I did on the 2nd day last year.

$100 each for 50 run CumHo's?????

We'll have the STU car at both Packwood events

Tangential thought warning....

Hoosiers are weird. My first set of 285's lasted 120 runs with the last 20 or so showing some cord on two tires (just ran them for a school). The current set is only on about 50 runs and two out of four are corded. They corded, I think, because I ran them at too low of a pressure.

They also wear strangely...like the grooves in the tread actually split the tire into three separate tires. I think they really should consider putting two closely spaced grooves near the inside of the tire. It looks like the tread actually slides over to one side.

Because of this, I just bought another set of Hoosiers.

Actually, the price is now $300. They're still sticky and, for local events, will be good for another 12-15 events...

We'll also be up at Packwood for both events.

Hoosier + low pressure + low camber = expensive tire bill

Agreed, we learned this the hard way.

Conversely, you can't kill a V710. They just get less sticky.

I believe you may have missed someone on your list of contenders...like, the guy I tire warm for...in my own car

I'm sure Jason is just heartbroken he's not coming up, what with the likelihood of rain, and all...I'm sure he'd like nothing more than to be holed up in the Inn at Packwood while it rains for a couple of days
