Koni Challenge St Competition
Most in the series were running stock ECU's to begin with...the RX-8 doesn't do well because of Grand-Am rules and of how many different high hp cars there are in the ST class. Like I said before, the RX-8 is the most underpowered in the field compared the other cars in class that are running super chargers and turbos. But what it lacks in hp it makes up for in cornering and braking.
team dyno'd on a dynojet. and yeah, i was going to mention he dyno'd at cobbs place. so i always assumed he had their help with tuning. i dont recall him ever mentioning anything about that specifically though.
Can someone direct me to the Koni Challenge rule that says you can only use the stock or Bosch ECU? All I see is under the RX8 allowed modifications, which says "May use aftermarket ECU." There aren't any tech bulletins referencing the aftermarket ECU. I see where it says that all cars using an aftermarket ECU must use the Grand-Am specified ECU, but I can't find where Grand-Am specifies the ECU to use.
Thanks,
Rob
Thanks,
Rob

I know it's in there, I can't seem to find it right now. PM Eric Meyer, he will have the answer for you since his team are the only one in the ST class that have successfully converted to the Bosch system.
