Kognition wing install...

Just installed a Kognition wing. 68" span, chassis mount. Installation went smoothly and despite my anxiety over cutting into the body of the car it was easy.

Really looking forward to my next track weekend!

Wait a minute... we left the track last night at like 1AM. Then you drove two hours home and had the wing installed by noon?! Did that 5 hour energy I gave you work a little too well? Lmao

Well, more like 2PM.

And it was so much easier than I thought it would be.

Nice. If I could run a spoiler in PTD/TTD I'd do it! Do they make this wing as a "kit" specific to the RX-8 or is it a custom deal?

Looks great Dave! I'm curious to know how the car will handle with it! That should work really well at INDE with some of the fast sweepers.

Everything you need is included except the saw you use to cut into the car. Inside the trunk needs a tiny bit of cutting as well in order to get the mounts to fit correctly.

Very carefully with a Dremel. Other cuts were with a Rotozip and a 3.5" cutting wheel.

Correct. I will probably seal it up with something once I decide how high I want it.

It doesn't. NASA rules are that it can't be wider than the body work of the car. Wing span is 68" and the width of the RX-8 is like 69.7 if I remember correctly.
