John V. gets published

I wanted to post this here because John V is an autocrosser. During my morning "reading" time, I came across a very well thought out letter regarding the Z06's performance in a Car and Driver test one or two months ago. He addressed something I have been wanting to write these rags about for a long time. That is, he pointed out that while the Z06 has real street tires, the GT3 and Exige amongst others come with what are basically second tier competition DOT tires.

These magazines have been trying to argue that they need to test cars with the tires they were "engineered" to run, but that ignores the elephant in the room.

Now, John needs to write Motor Trend about their test this month that again gives more credit to the car (GT3--a great car) than perhaps it deserves because it has gumball tires. Or maybe it is the putting down of the Corvette that bothers me.

I'll shutup. Great job!!!!

I haven't read Motor Trend in years.

Thanks man. If I can't drive fast, I might as well write letters? :ack:
