I'll be test and tunning my Rx8 today. I'll be looking for a lower elapse time. If locals are interested in seeing me race the Rx8 and witness the 14 second runs with a bone stock Rx8, I'll be testing at Island Dragway in Hackettstown NJ... I've decided I cannot keep the drag racing monster inside of me asleep. My Rx8 is still stock with no mods.. Hey Polak give me a call on my cell phone so you could shoot up and take pics of me at the drag strip looking to run faster then 14.32 o and I'll give you the 14.3 time slip from december 21 2003 so you could post it..

I just got back from my local race track. I had a real hard time trying to get the car to launch.. My 60 foot times were OFF. I honestly was not trying to break my transmission.(I've broken 2 of them last year) In top of that the race track was loaded with local racers and I only got 3 time runs.(not enough runs when your trying to dial in a perfect launch).. Over all I'm happy with today's day back at the track after 8 months of not racing the car..
best run today was 14.8 with a shitty 60 foot time..
I'll be trying to gently dial in my launch at englishtown raceway park on wendsday night.
The test and tunning continues.. I was able to drive back home safe and sound.. no broken gearbox no broken diff..

I know how you feel my Lightning done its best time at 13.028 @ 104 MPH and its worst time 16.061@85 MPH at Fun Ford weekend at Norwalk July 9-11th The 16 second run was when the truck decided to dump its boost.
But it well all come togeather you just have to be patient.

you make me sick with that 14.32 and trying to get better when you're all stock...you must be nailing the launch...the best I have achieved is 14.92 my 60 time sucked a$$..I would have nailed the launch but i'm not grabbing and getting some aggravated wheel hop...i'm all stock as well but most of my times are hovering around the low 15's...when you say stock that means NO slicks right?...
good luck though..it would be awesome for you to accomplish your goal..i'll just be more awe inspired..and envious of course....

Will you get some video to accompany any slips when you get your perfect run in? I only ask becasue I don't live close enough to come by and see it in person! Good luck, hope you don't break anything.
