Looking to see the best way to launch an RX-8 for the fastest not to 60 time and without ruining the clutch etc. Thanks

There is no way to avoid damaging the clutch if you launch the car repeatedly. Launching is the most stressful thing you can do to a car that doesn't involve crashing. But in a nutshell, you want to rev just high enough that when you close the clutch quickly, the wheels chirp a little bit. You won't get better acceleration if you spin the wheels a lot. Keep the revs above 3000rpm while accelerating, and don't shift until 8000rpm.

 

Use the flywheel rather than sliding the clutch, thats why it's there
