Looks like we're going to have a "special guest appearance" by a certain west coast B Stocker.

It was like pulling teeth to get ULLLLLLLLOSE to tow 200 miles to run at Atwater, yet he'll go 3000 miles round trip to run in Houston? OK...that makes sense

Must have either a co-drive or something else going on...

 

SEB meeting Mon-Tues in Houston. We have always wanted to go, but it is more of a drive than Topeka, now I have to be there so it was an easy choice. Bad part is even driving the car rather than towing I am looking at $500 for gas.

 

If you had a co-driver, your expenses could be lower

 

You going to bring the motor home down pick up the car and haul it out there and back for me on your dime?

 

Nah, I have a free ticket on Southwest Air...but, I could throw a couple hunnert for gas.

 

Somehow this does not sound like a good deal for me.... Let you drive the 2 time championship winning car for some gas money while I do all the work and spend two days on the road each way. Oh no... It would cost you big time to get in that seat.

 

OK, I fly to John Wayne, help you drive out and pay for gas on the way...then, I fly out Sunday, 'cause I ain't sticking around for no SEB meeting...

 

The only way I see this going down is you solo in a motorhome with our car on a trailer. See you in TX.

 

Maybe for a few hundie one of the locals will give you a ride... You should hit up EDJ, he runs the 245 Hoosier and that is the one thing you have not tried yet.

 

Nah, being realistic, I have too much going on right now to seriously think about going to Houston to autocross...although, if I had the chance to take a shot at you with your own car, that might make it worth the hassle.

Nope. I've got a little problem with owning more homes than I want and have to work on some stuff around that this weekend.

I plan on running the Oakland SCCA event on Sunday morning.

 

I'll be there. Supposed to have a tire warmer already...

Too bad we don't have a Pro for ULLLOSE to play in.

I guess we'll just have to show him some Texas hospitality instead.

 

I was just poking the Streldoc on email that he should co-drive with you.

I was not going to stick around for the Pro anyway. I am tired of them and I hear the Mineral Wells site is a POS.

 

Streldoc has a *much* more interesting ride than an RX-8....

You should convince him to let me drive his car...I mean his wife's car...

 

I am sure he is in same boat as me.... Lucky we get to drive it at all.

Oh, and for fun I asked Jason if I could co-drive his car in Houston. He said "Yeah, sure, $50 and your in". I guess he's got something against mwood.
