Ok, I have a 2006 RX-8 with 10k miles. I have come to grips with the fact that an old lady with a pinto will ALWAYS take me off the line. My question is, what can I do that won't cost me a ridiculous price to improve performance, noticably. O and btw one that wont kill me warranty i have that goes for 80k miles? Does cold air intakes do anything, and are they really worth it? Needs recommendations!

IMO.......you ned to accept that fact that it is a "Sports Car" and not a "Muscle Car". I know you've started to accept that fact, but unless you are gonna be willing to drop over $5k-7k, you aren't going to really get there. AND, you'd still have the warranty issue. There are way more experieced people on this forum than I, but the biggest bang for the buck is probablt the lightweight flywheel and if you get these Mazdaspeed one, you will probably still have the warranty if they do the install. Still not cheap.
CAI.................not gonna do anything much in that regard.............sorry, that's just they way it is. Do some searches and learm about intakes/exhausts, but you're still looking at 5hp increase.

Do you have the MT or AT?...The 8 is not known for pulling ppl off the line but with a few suspension mods and/or just sticker tire you can definately pull a serious G through those corners

Feels much beeter taking someone in the corners vs. straights...
