Gauge pods other than PTP?

Are there any other companies who make a 3 gauge pod holder? 60mm is what I'm looking for. I have seen the PTP one, but they seem to not respond to their emails, so I'm kind of hesitant to drop that sort of money with no response from them.

I thought you'd bought this a while ago?

RB has mentioned developing something on their website. Or you could custom make one out of fiberglass, but that stuff is horrible to work with. Personally I'd rather just spend the money.

adrian-1 has a gauge pod that is not PTP, and i think its a lot less expensive as well. You may want to send him a PM.

Here is the one by autobahn

If my conversions is correct this is about $220 for CF and even less for FRP

Oh note.. with the autobahn - if they are angled they are probably going to face your passenger.

well looking at the pic, i can't tell if it is even angled. It maybe pointed straight. I'm not really sure.

A couple of us in Singapore got some new gauge pods recently.

Here's a link to the non-CF RE Amemiya 3 gauge pod:

Here's the Knight Sports CF 2 gauge pod, which I'm not sure if it's available for the LHS steering:

It's not just the angle. Note the cutout on the side for where it fits up against the RHD dash pod. Won't work on LHD

Racing Beat has one in the works, but who knows how long that could drag out ...

I've been patiently waiting on Racing Beat's.

Suppose to be available in 'Spring 2006', so says the website.

Here is the one from FEED. I'm not sure if they sell a LHD version...

20,700 Yen on the site, so about $190.

You are really going to need to check to see if they have a LHD version..
http://www.fujita-eng.com/rx8/

You may want to contact BulletProofAutmotive.com or JapanParts.com to see if they can order this for you.

I want to get the FEED side mirrors but im done modding till 2007. Then the party starts up again.

I like the 3-gauge pods on the dash, but I have a Nav system. Now, if somebody made a pod that would sit atop the Nav screen and still let it flip up when you want to use it, then I'd be mega-impressed.

I think your best bet will be the a-pillar or ashtray lid pods.

The defi guages come with mini brackets. You maybe able to mount those to somehow work with your NAV setup.

Yeah, if I ever get there the A-pillar will work fine. The "mount on top of the NAV" thing is probably unrealistic (for my skills anyway) but it would add a nice 007 touch. :D

Actually what I need to install most right now is a HUD to display RPMs while I'm doing Autox or track days. I've seen a couple posts on that.

I've noticed on autocrossing... the normal tach is fine... but whats even better is a good ear.

Oh, and if you're going to autocross, the a-pillar gauge might get in the way. I find it hard enough to look ahead to left with the regular a-pillar. I can't imagine how hard it would be with a gauge cluster infront of it.

Why do all the gauge pods have to be set up for RHD? Not every RX-8 is RHD.

Kinda sucks, b/c I will not pay 400-500 bucks for a gauge pod, and really don't want an A-Pillar pod, for exactly the reason pointed out by BigOLundh. ANd the less expensive ones, that look nice, are only for LHD. The FEED one would really do what I want, but it is pointed the wrong way.

Derwankel posted recently that he is making a gauge pod to replace the center dash cover (over the nav area). https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...ight=gauge+pod
