I dont like that site because not everyone posts a timeslips and some post gtech runs which aren't accurate and its hard to distinguish. The Petit Rx-8's coming along nice tho from what I heard.

 

Anyone can post a time up there within reason and they'll add it. In fact take a look at Kas and the car he drives...

 

From what i heard Judge Ito ran low 13's with out the nitrous , but broke 2 trannys

 

Actually if I recall he ran a high 14 and broke the tranny and engine, then went back and ran a 14.3 and broke the tranny again. There were some questions as to just how stock his car was and also why he never posted the slips or videos he kept saying he was going to. It was a long time ago so things are a little fuzzy.

 

I could come up with a VERY Fast timeslip for my RX8, given 20 minutes and photoshop.

i didnt vouch for the accuracy of any of the info only relayed what i found. however i think the run by petit is trustworthy. and itos run had a timeslip and witnesses. yeah he broke but the tiem and trap are real.

i find it incredible that whenever someone says "i went to the strip and had time x at xmph" and everyone wants to see the timeslip. and now if you had a timeslip you will be accused of making it up on your computer. you people are off your fing rockers. show proof here in this thread of one timeslip that someone photochopped. and no i dont mean make one up yourself. if you are accusing someone of faking their times prove it.

Considering Kas managed to run a 14.300 <--- yeah... in a stock 03' 5 speed RX-8 I'm calling BS. Not proof, but pretty good evidence, that the source isn't the most reliable

 

well there are 5speed rx-8s in the world. i dont know kas or where he lives. im the kind of person who likes to give the benefit of the doubt without proof. if he's in the states the 5speed thing could just be a mistake not lieing/forgery

edit- kas the forum member is in Australia and so could have a 5speed dont know for sure.

 

Ahhh, didn't know there were 5MTs in other parts of the world. Also I think they don't bump up the model year like they do in the US so maybe they are considered '03s... are they? Thanks for the heads up.

I'd still have to call B.S.--cause the 5MTs in the rest of the world are 4-port. Its our auto models with a 5speed manual--and those arehigh 6 low 7 second 0-60 cars.

Kas has a six speed. We don't get five speeds here. I have seen how he flogs the living daylights out of that thing, so nothing would surprise me. Kas has posted G-Tech times in the past, so probably not strip times posted there.
