Its really amazing how much tire the 245/35/18 V710s don't use. I had a stack of mounted and unmounted next to each other.... and the stack of unmounted tires was about 5" higher. I actually looked at all the tires to make sure they were the right size!
So for the tour in less than 2 weeks, we have 5 cars, 8 drivers. Most RX8s ever at Devens for one event.

Ummm.... ahhh... i respectfully disagree. A big front bar is great for the quick transitions like slaloms and other elements where we can't use springs to prevent body roll. Getting push in the sweepers can be dialed out using some alignment changes and tuning of the nut behind the wheel.

IMHO, can't be a bad thing. :D My next national event is 6/25... Oscoda Pro... then 2 weeks later is the NE tour.
I should have my shocks sorta dialed in by then.

Let's hope my car will start-up when I get home tonight. Or one less
competitor/bottom-feeder in BS. Long story short, someone else flooded the
car, I trield the de-choking procedure, still refusing to start. The starter turns
and I can smell the fuel out of the tailpipes. The battery is still ok, not sure
if jumping the batter while cranking will do the trick. This sucks....

kC, is there any further word on the schedule this weekend? There was some kind of announcement over the PA in Peru about a late start on Saturday or something, but I didn't make it out and forgot to check into it further.

Gate doesn't open until 5pm on Friday. Don't get there any earlier than that. You won't get in.
As far as starting late on Sat, no idea. Haven't seen anything on that. I'll look into it. As long as the course is pretty much set up in time... I don't see any reason why not unless they expect registration and/or tech to go beyond 9?

Hopefully Sunday will start a bit earlier. Only have an 8 hour drive home after the event, and I have to be on a plane to SF at 7AM the next morning.
