I wish you guys all the best in STU next year, especially Doug since he will be running my old stuff. I will be there next year though but just in an Evo. Call me a sell out I guess

scsi, I hope you get to keep running at Aloha. The last time I was in Oahu I stopped by HRP to check it out and I'm sorry to hear it's gone. That's a shame.

Oh yea, I'll be out there the first week of December and plan to grap a coffee/lunch with Big'O so maybe you could hook up with us?

heh, your change of course was my gain. STU in philly became even more competitive at our last event yesterday as corey ridgick, formerly of STS in his subie 2.5 RS, has come over to STU in an evo in addition to two more local hotshoes also in evo's. i still have to work on my driving, but i sure won't be able to blame the car next year with all i have planned.

I may revisit the suspension after I get through the current wish list, but for now I'm very happy with it.

Right now I have the 225/40-18 Goodyears... with 20-20 hindsight I wish I'd gone at least to the 245's. When they wear out I'll replace them with something wider.

I like the CG lock a lot. It really keeps you much more "planted" in the seat so you don't slide around, or have the tendency to hold the steering wheel for support. But for next year I'll probably get a harness for autocross use. Corbeau makes 4-point harnesses for under $100 that are good for autocross. Schroth does too, but they're a little more expensive.
Where can you get the 100 dollar corbeau harness? Also how does it mount to a RX8 without a rollcage? I heard the rear baby seat anchors aren't a very good idea. I know the quick fit clip in schroths for the M3 just clipped into the rear seatbelts for anchors.

that's total BS, STU has been given SCCA National Class status for 2007. I'm on the Street Touring Advisory Committee and Uuuloser is on the Solo Events Board, so you can take it to the bank and cash it

.

Yep STU is alive and well and they will have a National Championship on the line at Natls in 2007. However keep in mind your local club can use or not use any class they want for local events. If you have a poor local turn out for STU they could not offer it.

if i have an OEM spoiler, can i remove it without being called on for weight reduction?

and then, can i add on an aftermarket spoiler?

what about aftermarket trunk lids?

You can run without the factory wing, it is a stand alone option. You can also use an aftermarket wing in STU. Trunk lid must be OE.

Yes this year you can win a Natl Championship, so I would expect everyone will have to go much faster.
