Catalytic converter for SCCA Time Trials

Hey Folks! SCCA's Tuner 4 class for Time Trials mirrors SCCA's Solo street touring allowances, where you need a 100cpi catalyst within a certain distance of the original. I know the go-to answer is an HJS racing catalyst, but those run about 20-25% the value of my entire car. I have heard other suggestions for 100cpi metallic catalysts, including GESI (from stainless works) and even X-force (seems too cheap to be true but there's a Tuner 4 guy running one for multiple seasons). However, i just stumbled across a promising lead i wanted to share with the community in case anyone else is looking for a cat that *hopefully* stands up the the rigors of track use.

Yeah, I had contacted them through their website, about 4 years ago, the dealer in Europe is in Cyprus. The company has a swedish address. And i think rrp uses these in their midpipes. The specs were ok and the price is now a third of the hjs 090050 which is hard to find also.

Thanks, Mark! RX-8s swept the podium. Let's hope that doesn't encourage SCCA to reclass us! X^D

Did you end up getting one of these? Is it holding up? I just noticed my cat was glowing after a night drive…

No, i had hoped to try this out as an upgrade in 2026 but haven't had the opportunity yet. But if your cat is glowing red, that might not be a good sign! i guess if you were just coming off track it might glow, but if you're just cruising on the highway and it's glowing red that could indicate clogging. it would be worth starting to soak your bolts with rust penetrant to make it easy to remove and inspect at your first opportunity.

Yeah, taking a look at it and fixing it asap is a top priority for me and no events until it’s done. I’ve just gotta figure out which way I want to take it as the OEM cat for the s2 is running $3k right now. BHR is also sold out at the moment too.
