Can't break into the 6s!!!!
maybe speed racer can tell us his opinion then about those g-techs...
the ones I've seen mags using here are racelogic's Vbox II and III. they say they are very good. so counting 0-100kph in 6.4 means its a 0-60 time in 6.2-6.1secs

Now, if you consider .1 second difference to make it useless garbage, I think your standards are a bit unrealistic.
Just because you or people you know cant be bothered to set it up properly, or work within it's requirements, doesnt mean nobody does.

Using my 14.58@94.55 timeslip and some simple calculus i can figure out that I ran a 5.97 0-60 on that run.
Even though I have gotten a fast time with my Gtech in a way I agree with Ike. There are so many variables (setup, launch technique, firmness of suspension, smoothness of road, inclination of road, etc...) that can effect the results that it makes it very difficult to compare to magazines, drag strips...
On the flip side it can be a good comparative tool when only one variable changes at a time (i.e CZ settings, exhaust, intake, etc...). You probably won't get numbers that exactly match a dyno or time slip but the difference between runs are real. Especially if you do multiple runs and average the results.

don't try to make me feel like that with your superficial apathy, go have some "Happy Alcohol" (wine)

Oi... no alchohol for me tonight, just got back from a wedding in Indy and drank more Vodka than any human should be able to. Did some really bizzare thing that keep coming to me as the day goes on, what scares me even more is the stuff that I don't remember doing :p At least the girl I woke up next to was as pretty as I thought she was in my drunken stupper. :D

I only did this to verify the times published in the magazines and don't plan on doing it again. It is just too rough on the car and you are bound to break something.

Damn am I glad I don't have this car anymore! After seeing you guys complain about not getting under 7 seconds, I can't believe that. I thought it was for sure a 6.5 second car, but what do ya do? I bet my M3 could pull a 6.5 second 0-60 with just going to 5k rpm durning my break-in period.
Seriously though, you guys have to quit looking at the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times! Take the beast out to the track like I did and whomp on some 350z's and G35's. You will forever love your car knowing that the 9,000 rpm is king on the track compaired to the 350z or G35.
