Body kit slowen any1 down?
I was at the track the past 2 weeks, im not posten all details cause i havent had a run worth posten... best time was a 15.2
i was just thinken, and got a lil worried. can the mazda speed kit slow you down? I think it would've helped, but i cant figure out why. That leads to me gettin all paranoid thinken its slowen me down! Is it helpin' me or killin' me?

It's not really going to help or hurt. It might add a tiny bit of weight but that's not going to make even 1/10th difference unless it's a lot heavier compared to stock than I am assuming.
Were you running at GLD?

This is conjecture on my part but I'd think a MS body kit would hurt trap times. Here's my reasoning:
1. Drag racing is about going as fast as possible in a straight line.
2. The body kit has an increased frontal area which means more aerodynamic drag. That slows you down.
3. The body kit trades increased drag for increased downforce. That increased downforce only happens at speeds above where it matters for drag racing--the launch when you spin tires.
4. When do you see aero parts on drag cars to increase downforce? At what speed is that downforce needed? Why? Does it apply to a street car? Probably not.
Whether it makes enough of a difference for you to care I don't know.
