A very wise well respected national course designer once told me that if you design a course for a particular car you will almost certainly be wrong and are likely to have lots of people hate it. Worry about making a good and interesting course first and foremost.

I've only been to a couple of events at GGF, but it was pretty darn slippery both times!! don't know if it's sand from the beach blowing onto the pad or what, but it was similar grip as, say, 30 mins after a rain shower. since I had AWD at the time it was actually pretty good, though.

hehe cute.
Though please try not to use to many chicago boxes, could just be me but they were a killer at the last course we had.
Though now I've learned a bit more on how to bring the rear around which could help in those.

this turned out as one of my best courses. the chicago box worked out really well because if you got it right, you didnt have to lift coming of the rotor into the box, then a lift and out you go. there are only a killer if you make them tight, just like any element.
the rotor shape turned out to be fun to drive.
GGF has a surface that looks like smooth pebbles and gravel. ive had a number of fastest overall times there in the loud car. one day after i set FTD, i drove the rx8 only 2.5 seconds slower in fun runs- on street tires!
i think PUR NRG has data logging from me and him driving on this course. we recorded 1.2 lateral g's in the rx8.

Hi James,
So you drove PUR NRG's car, not yours, on this course? (Couldn't remember if you had race rubber for your rx8). It looks similar to the course from last July except the first element was more of a counterclockwise loop. Somebody should've taken a picture of one of the rx8's traveling thru the rotor.
