I'd do some serious upgrades to the suspension & braking system before tracking that car. Despite having 361hp, those cars weigh close to 2 tons. It would take a serious braking system to slow that beast down repeatedly at the track.

Unless, you're talking about Friday evening drag races...in which case have fun with it!

 

I bet money that your wife will NEVER EVER let you take HER new car out on the track.

You got yerself a G8? was checking out the G8 Pace car at this weekend's Grand-AM races. (it was alternating Pacecar duties w/....an RX8!!). it looked pretty much stock, except for extra lights and belts. it seemed to be quite comfortable on the track, i must say. noticeable body roll, but that shouldn't be surprising. I'm sure the brakes got plenty cooked, though!

Couldn't easily convince you that I tracked the 8 (RX8) https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...postcount=1751 but I confess with great difficulty I've resisted tracking the R8 with 307KW (411 Ponies!) being 1800kg with standard big brakes capable of stopping in shorter distance than BMW’s M5.!
