analyze my time slip
So auto-x was closed at the track last night.
Drag racing was open though...
It was kinda boring, but all the bad *** muscle cars made for a fun evening.
Here is my best time slip.
It was pretty disappointing not winning a single race
In Calgary the elevation is 3,500 feet which may be why I was so slow.
Any who, how does it look ?
Im in the left lane

Was, thats civic like in times.......
2.4 60' is terrible for RWD or anything at all.
Drop to 2.0 and you'll see better times. You only gained 19mph in the back half, not much top end.
Maybe you need to find better shift points?

i'd like to see a stock rx8 pull below a 2.00 60'. that'd definitely impress me.
all i can say is learn to launch better. if you dont have mad skills at launching (like teamrx8) then feather the clutch from about 4.5k. teamrx8's method for launching is a 7k clutch drop and "modulating the throttle." right, well he's a better driver than i am. i either bog down or burn rubber when i try his method. to launch you want the most rpms with no wheel spin.
when you shift, dont put the clutch all the way to the floor. put it just far enough to shift smoothly and shift as quickly as possible.

^power shift it like its a muscle car
don't let off the gas for a moment and slam that thing into gear! I used to do it without using the clutch(in my mustang that is). I would advise not to do that tho.

A note on your reaction time: When you see the last yellow light come on, that's when you go. Don't wait for the green light, otherwise you'll sit there for... .671 seconds. If you start going when you see that last yellow, you can fire off the incredible .010 or lower RT's.

1935 lbs. FTW!
There's something wrong with your car, it's 10 mph down on the trap speed. Also your 60 foot sucks. I ran a 2.2 60 foot in a bolt on Civic EX on the stock H-rated firestones with open LSD before.

But, I agree with everyone in the thread. Learn to launch. Although you might want to make sure you have a little cash sitting around for a new clutch afterwards.

I launch at 5k slightly feather the clutch. Usualy a consistant 2.1 reaction and my best time is 15.1, consistant 15.3s. I have not raced again since installing my aem intake, or droping the car, tein s tech springs.
