Michael, what were the conditions like? Was there much of a difference between heats 1, 2 & 3?
Today there was probably an 8-10 degrees rise in temp between heat 1 and 3. But it was overcast the entire day so not too much sunlight to heat up the tarmac.

Cline/Eric hit 104 on the decibel scale so they had to fix it before their next run. Ended up finding a pipe that pointed away from the sound reader and Eric's next run was amazing.

On Saturday there was not much different in the temperature between heats 1-3.

For my first Tour event, I'm happy with the results. I had a great time and definitely learned a lot. After coning my first 2 runs on Saturday, and my first run of a 59.0 on Sunday, I drove more conservative than usual. Got to get used to this 3 run format

I see him / that car run locally here. Watching him has actually discouraged me from making the leap from local events. He's that good.

Eric is one of the fastest drivers in the country when he is on, he was in the top 3 at Nationals in 07 after day one in the most ratty STS CRX I have ever driven/seen. That BMW is finally getting consistently fast. It seems every time they make a step forward on setup something goes wrong with the car.

If all goes well I will be looking for Eric to be right at the top of STX for the rest of the season.

I have to say- with the Volks and the MS body kit, it looks like a show car!

Ha ha. My RX-8 looks like it's been daily driven for 2 years... :p Luckily, I don't daily drive it anymore, so when I have the time, I'll have a body shop take the door dings out.

I should be able to do 2-3 Triad events this season. Looking forward to the competition from Cline and Sienkiewicz.

I was wondering what happened out there after looking at your times. Tom you were flying at the last ZMax event.

It was a very cone intensive course, I'm usually not one to hit many cones, if any. I hit a good amount of cones this event.

Appreciate the kudo's Michael. ZMax was a more open flowing course so I was able to make it work. Need to step up and meet the challenge when the course is more demanding.

Excuse A: Probably not the best time to change from 2 year old Kumho's to brand new Hoosier's.

Excuse B: Inserted Cranium in Anus

Excuse C: After I told him I was clipping cones with the right rear tire Carter suggested this "You're apparently not driving fast enough"

Excuse D: The car is now faster than the driver.

Excuse E: All of the above!

Seriously, it was good to see everyone again and get restarted in the sport. I appreciate all of the suggestion's and promise to do better next time!

We didn't get a lot of pictures overall and most are from two run groups each day but Karen did get quite a few of us rotorheads. Enjoy.
