I guess, even though there seemed to be an enormous amount of negative response to the schedule, that SCCA looked at the total entry numbers and figured if it isn't broke, don't fix it? I can think of no other reason why we would be going from bad to worse, in terms of the scheduling...this means at least a two week time committment to tow from the west coast, run both events and get home...if you are lucky enough to run Tues/Wed at Nationals!

 

I'm only slightly suprised there hasn't been a move over the years to move nationals to August before all the kids go back to school.

I don't race at that level, but for turnout I think it would be much better to do summer as Stroker pointed out- kids are in school and a chunk of the events are during the week. I would love to be there but work pwns me unless I use vacation to watch, but only for a day or two, not an entire week.

 

Turn out for Nationals was at an all time high, this year. The Pro was not even at capacity...

It's clear, to me, that SCCA is willing to throw Pro Solo under the bus...without any hesitation.
