CA WTS: Alpine SWR-1222D 12" Sub + Box + Alpine MRP-M450 AMP + Cap. $450 OBO

I'm selling this setup for my friend. All items are completely unused. Will only sell whole setup. My friend is using the EXACT same setup in his 2003 Nissan Altima and is hits HARD. Lows are really snappy to so you can listen to a wide range of musics without worrying if the bass will sound too lazy.

Alpine SWR-1242D Type-R 12" Subwoofer 500W RMS 1500W Max
Bought for $199.95 + $50 for the low profile subwoofer box.
Info: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-IPqhjDh...SWR-1242D.html

Alpine MRP-M450 Amplifier 220W RMS 800W Max.
Bought for $149.95
Info: http://www.armexcaraudio.com/product...M450-79-2.html

Monster Cable Digicap 1 Farad Stiffening Capacitor
Bought for $199.95
Info: http://www.shopallmonster.com/nav/mo...1771&pid=22201

Asking $450 OBO + shipping if necessary for the whole setup. Would definitely prefer a local buyer as shipping the sub will probably be pretty expensive.

wow that is NOT the right amp for that sub....

and I say this as an almost pure Alpine guy - check my sig.

They're GREAT items... just not a good match...

it's a 2 ohm dual voice coil sub - with a single channel amp that only puts out 220 watts @ 4 ohms and isn't stable at 1 ohm - so either you're not using that sub to it's potential @ 4 ohms or killing that amp @ 1 ohm.. either way.. don't try to sell them as a set, it's not a good set.

but if the sub was the SWR-1242D - i will take it all back because then it would be a 4 ohm dual voice coil that you could wire to get 400 Watts @ 2 ohms from the amp...

the only way to know is to take it out and read the number on it... unless you have the paperwork and stuff it came with... or remember exactly which one when you bought it

the diffrence between giving the sub 200 watts and 400 watts is only 3db in a perfect system...

Hey I just checked with my friend and he said I posted the wrong one lol... I'll pull the sub out and take a picture of the label but he said it's a 4ohm... all he told me when I posted this was that it was a 12" Type-R that he bought from crutchfield so I posted the first one I found. I didn't confirm the model :/

My bad... post updated with correct info... everything else is right though.
