I'm in Surrey, BC Canada and am looking for a starter.

Dealership trying to get me to pay nearly 700 for the part plus labour to install after they broke it while it was in the shop ("it's not our fault, it just broke").

As it's out of warranty, I'm trying to replace it myself, but the first place I ordered the part from (autopartsgiant.com, useless idiots) tells me 4+ weeks after I order it that they didn't actually have it in stock, and that telling me it was shipping 12 days ago was a mistake.

check ebay i saw one for under 50 on there........

 

if you search youll see alot for 70.......and i saw one even for 20 buck

 

Mazmart will hook you up with the good one.

The 'old' model starter isn't worth farkall, too slow and underpowered. These are the 'perfectly good' ones that techs are rescuing from the dumpster and Ebaying.....

it should be covered under warranty... there was a recall on that years starter... you should check into it

 

Warranty's gone on my starter (Start of service was the fall of 2003 for my vehicle) so they won't cover it (even though they broke it).

The Ebay ones don't have Canada as a shipping option.
