The car only has 1700 miles on it so the wheels are basically new. It isnt being driven, its in storage for the winter. It would take one hell of a bid to get those wheels off my hands.

I am running 19 in staggered and did read that before I made my decision. To each his own.
Am happy the way my ride looks and rides. 2006 copper red shinka stick
rear 275x45x19
front 245x45x19

Had 265x30x19 before but too small sidewall. ride a bit rough
had 235x35x19 in front, same as above.

 

If you plan to go FI - then it works well.

I can't shove big enough rubber in the front to balance it out.

If not it is kinda a waste; as I do get off-throttle understeer

 

I'm open to offers for the wheels but I cant imagine anyone coming close to what Id accept. The wheels are over $8000 from Mazda

Actually guys, the wheels are over $8000.00 from the dealer, yes EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS. Look them up or call your mazda dealership.

 

A couple of months ago the R3 wheels were $2100.00 PER RIM from the dealer... and thats JUST THE RIM, so with tires we are looking at over 9 Grand for the full set of wheels new.

 

Will anyone ..ie fool ..really pay that much for a set of wheels?
Heck, you can get a 2004 RX-8 for about that much..thats the whole car.
Maybe the insurance will pay that much..but I do not see anyone..in his right mind...paying that much.

Well I guess youre calling all R3 owners "fools" then? Theyre extremely rare wheels so Mazda can pretty much put any price on them they want.

I was never a huge fan of the wheels from the beginning. Also, Im not trying to swap them, I plan to keep them. When it comes time to sell the car I will get much more for it with all of the R3 package included. If the right offer came along I would sell them, dont get me wrong. Again, Mazda sets the price not me.

Its all good, thats always been an issue in forums I think. People take things out of context and what not. Its hard to tell when someones being sarcastic or not when you dont know them personally.

Anyways, after reading that staggered thread I am also open to NON STAGGERED wheels too. So if anyones selling some nice wheels like Volks or SSR or Tenzo...etc.... POST POST!
