Cool

Radar for your car??

Wow.

Something like this:

Just kidding! I think you mean a Radar Detector

I run with a Valentine One, works great! I have it hardwired to hide the powercord.

You'll get lots of opinions on whether the battery unit is a good thing. It wasn't for me. YMMV.

hardwire > wireless. It's very simple to hardwire the detector in.

I think he is looking for a cordless detector, like the Escort Solo.

The escort solo is alright but it's detection capability drops significantly as the batteries age. The escort passport 9500 and Valentine 1 are probably the two most popular wired solutions on the market. I have the 9500i and love it. The GPS capabilities put this thing into a whole other league.

I've actually got one for sale

https://www.beltronics.com/store/rx-65-blue.html
It was used for 2 weeks then I upgraded to the GX65 Red.

It comes with the case / power adapter / detector / suction cups. Sorry but no manual.
I'm asking $320, its $380 new, and it was only used for 2 weeks.

Read up on the Solo. It's performance is poor compared to wired solutions. Unless your ad emit about having a wireless detector, I'd shy away from it.

i've been using the escort 8500 and it is absolutely amazing, you can find it for cheap on ebay (prob less than $200), it's already saved me over a $1000 dollars worth of would-be tickets.

O my gawd!

get a valentine. They are expensive, but if you are willing to buy a radar, why not get the best. They will also upgrade it for you if they come out with new stuff for the fraction of the price of a new one. I hardwired mine to the fuse box(there's a DIY on here) and then ran the wires through the roof lining and mounted it on the mirror with a 3/4" mount I bought online.

Works like a dream. Catches everything and tells you were they are in relation to you. As well as how many.

Just make sure to mount it in the middle of the dash... its most visible=better signal.
