Mine took a sh*t and the dealership is sounding more and more like they're not going to cover it under factory warranty so i am going to go ahead guage a price and see what is available from you guys. Thanks!

 

MazMart builds good motors, there are also some non-vendors that i've heard good things about incuding RotaryRessurection

Well what is going on is they're making a statement that i ran it out of oil and continued to drive it that way. I got very stern with them today and now the story is changing. he told me that they're going to change the oil and filter and the coild packs in the morning because that's why the check engine light was on in the first place! Does this sound like a scam to anyone other than myself?

 

yes, it does. If they truly thought that you ran it without oil, they would leave it at that. Changing the oil and changing coil packs would not fix that, and they know that, of course.

Definitely continue to "get stern with them" and don't hesitate to bring it to a second mazda dealer, or call Mazda USA

uhh...????? but were you over your oil change schedule??? and if so by how much? because if the dealer that does your scheduled maintenace[oil change and filter] and your oil change service is not yet due its not your faultt, but did the Oil Light come on?

Changine the plugs / coils packs will not fix your engine if it needs to be replaced.
What diagnostics have they performed? Compression Test?
Did your car have the recall procedure performed last year?

Yeah I smell BS our engines are covered 8yr/96k especially if the apex seals go on them The mazda dealership my cousin works at he is dropping out engines left and right if the engine does not hold compression they give you a new engine no questions asked. I would try to find another dealer

 

well i got my car back and it seems to be running ok, they replaced the cat O2 sensor coil packs spark plugs changed the oil and filter and did a fuel system clean and flush. I ended up having to pay $640 out of pocket to get this car out of the dealership on top of the 450 for rental car. I am so pissed about this whole situation i could just kill someone!!!

Good to hear that it seems to be resolved. For anyone who would actually need a renesis replacement, I can offer warrantied, photo documented rebuilds in the $1300-2500 range depending on what is wrong with the existing core.
