I bought another rx8 a couple years ago and swapped a bunch of parts out with my car. One of those things was the hood. I've since grown tired of the vented hood look but my OEM hood was sold with the other rx8.

I'm looking to swap my fiberglass ti gray vented hood for an OEM ti gray hood. I'd also consider buying one straight up if the price is right.

edit: I dont want to deal with getting it painted right now so ti gray only please.

If you buy a new hood how much would you want for the vented one?

 

I was hoping for a local swap. I realize this reduces my chances by quite a bit but i can imagine shipping is pretty expensive.

Not sure how much i would want for the vented hood if i bought an OE hood separately. I'll cross that bridge assuming we get to it

just to help out some, go to your local body shop and ask for a hood box. Then ship it through greyhound. I paid like 70 bucks to ship my hood a while back.

 

BTW where did you get your mirrors?

I pulled them off the other rx8 i bought and sold. Not sure where the PO got them from. They're the Gandor mirrors or whatever you call them.

I usually have a reason to go to DFW but i dont right now. If i can't find something closer i'll let you know.

I have an OEM Carbon fiber hood that i would trade for that if you were interested.
I could meet to do the swap sometime after wednesday next week if you were interested.

 

I also have an OEM TI-gray hood but it has hail damage.

 

I'm also interested. I'll even drive out there. TiGray with minimal damage from normal road driving (small rocks and such). I can post a picture if wanted.
